Moving Back To Newcastle
For those of you that know me well enough, you'll know that I spent four dynamic years at Northumbria University, the best university in Newcastle. (Poly 'til I die.)
During those four years, I met some talented people, made life long friends and drank by weight in alcohol many times over.
By the end of it all, I had had an incredible experience and changed / set my career goals in stone.
Since then, I've been back in Harrogate, living with the folks since late July '09 and travelling up to Newcastle every few weeks to visit my little lady.
It's been long enough, time to move back to the black and white.
A few weeks ago, I was offered a position at the Newcastle Apple Store, coming soon to the Eldon Square South section.
I took the offer, because as I see it, the opportunity for progression is too good to let up.
Besides, word on the street is that It's harder to get a job at the Apple Store than it is to get into Harvard.
I'm looking forward to moving in to my new flat with Natasha, getting settled in and catching up with friends.
I see Newcastle really growing over the next few years. With strong funding and interest growing in the area, it's only a matter of time before Newcastle starts to shine as a beacon for the north of England.
There are also some organisations I can't wait to touch base with again.
So, 2010 is kicking off with lots of change, plenty of progress and a pinch of excitement.
Let's hope it lives up to the hype.
